Calling all Canadians food poll?

My son is completing a school project about Canada and the students are allowed to bring food to school from their country they studied. What is a Canadian favorite that I can purchase in an American grocery store?

Thank you for your help.

Update:

It has to be store bought, I they don't trust us to make ourselves.

Update 2:

The nanaimo bars sound great, I might make them for my family.

I second the nanaimo bars, so yummy!

  • Purchase?? nah you have to make it man. Butter Tarts are easy, why not make some of those? they are the best. Store bought ones are just gross.. It wouldn't be a favorite food if you didn't make it.. I have a recipe passed down through generations of Canadians if you're interested. I make them myself and they are a family favorite. My Mom used to make them for American hunters when they came here bear hunting, when my mom stopped working at the hunt camp they all begged her to come back to make more butter tarts for them..

costs of each and every thing is often going up as a effect of slightly element suggested as inflation. 2 many years in the past a loaf of bread possibly fee 25 cents. a journey on the bus used to fee 5 cents. tickets to a action picture became like a million greenback. it relatively is each and all of the fee of the greenback. back then one greenback became what we'd now evaluate 10 funds.

I don't know rofl. Some beef or chicken, potatoes or rice, and fruit and vegetables. Or if you wanna go stereotypes: Poutine! Just buy some fries and some gravy and put some cheese in there. Define "Canadian favorite", please.
