Why does it seem the lie is so prominent in the teachings of Islam?

1) Allah claimed to be the greatest of makr, deceivers, plotters. ( 3:54)

2) Taqiyya, lying allowed. (5:369)

3) Allah misleads. (14:4)

4) Allah even misleads Muslims (8:43-44)

5) Allah allows al- tauriya (twisting of words.(Sahih Muslim Vol. 1, ft. 402, English version)

6) Those Allah misleads can not be helped. (4:88)

7) Abrogation. Don't like the truth? Change it.(16:101)

8) No one can be sure they are not tricked by Allah, even Muhamamd prayed that Allah would not deceive him.

9) Muslims can not be sure of their salvation, even Muhammad was unsure. (vol. 5, no. 266).

10) No one can be sure they are safe from Allah's makr (7:99)

11) Islam claims the Bible is corupt, meaning their own god would not keep his word.

12) The serpent in the Bible tells the first lie, Allah actually agrees with the serpent and the first lie in the Torah. "You will not surely die"

13) Christianity is based on the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Allah claims we were made to believe a lie, it was Allah who made them believe in the crucifixion of Christ..(4:157)

14) Allah led his own people to believe a lie and left them with no truth for 600 years and an entire religion developed based on a deception of Allah and these he deceived will be burned in hell..for trusting God.

You can't trust a man, scriptures, or God himself. None are sure of their salvation or if they are tricked by their own god.

Could it be the one God warned us about in the Bible is the same one that brought the Quran?

Could it be the Father of lies from the Bible is the greatest "makr" of the Quran?

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

1John 2: 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Update:

Abdulmalik, I worship God and the true Christ who agreed with the Word of God and the words of the prophets, how does this answer my question?

Update 2:

The Fool, While I do agree with your sentiment I also know the truth is not to be hidden in a dark place. I believe we should share the truth.

Update 3:

Faith, Is Allah all knowing? I am not and yet I know those who are Muslim will choose the Quran and those who are not Muslim will not... so if the world be the judge the Quran loses it's own challenge. This does not answer the question.

Update 4:

Faith, If the Quran is in agreement with the devil as it seems, how is a threat from the Quran a warning, especially when the same Quran says I can be deceived by Allah and no one can change that? And how could you know that the greatest of makirs has not deceived you?

Update 5:

Faith, not everyone reads Hebrew and Greek, apparently an all knowing God is aware of this.

Update 6:

M, I have quoted the Quran, surely you agree with the Quran.

Update 7:

Faith, My God calls your god the father of lies, obviously not the same God.

Update 8:

selsbil, The word Yusafali translated planned is makir the attribute of a person is one who would outwit someone else to cause them harm. It speaks of one who would reveal the opposite of what he plans to do. The reality is that he is scheming evil for that person. So yes there is the sense of planning and scheming but mostly it means to trick, outwit and deceive for the purpose of overpowering and conquering the other. A makir is one who devises a secret scheme against someone else. Synonyms would be cheating, defrauding, double-crossing, deceiving, tricking, in all cases makara has the sense of defeating the one you have tricked.

Update 9:

Extreme,

1) If Allah's plot was deception we still deal with a lie.

2) regardless of the circumstance we again deal with a lie.

3) Allah misleads who he chooses, again we deal with deception,

and so on...

If the Bible is corrupt again we deal with the lie. If man who could keep his word would not keep his word we would call that man a liar.

Update 10:

Selsebil, sorry 2) should read Hadith Sahih Bukhari (5:369)

Update 11:

majeed, my question is an honest question. If you would consider it with an open heart.

Update 12:

Animal, like it or not truth is static.

It does not change according to what you can accept. In no way am I forcing my beliefs on anyone. I am asking a question and am referrencing two books that many people accept as the word of God. Whether you like it or not this is R&S where people share thier faith and question others concerning their belief. If that offends you, there are many other sections.

Update 13:

Joseph, asi earlier pointed out to sesebil 2) should read Hadith Sahih Bukhari (5:369)

We accept Jesus. As who he was, prophet, who worshipped God and called on others to do the same. We ask you to do the same. Otherwise, you fool only yourself. And Hell is eternal.

As a Christian, I believe that what is done in the dark, will not stay hidden in the darkness forever. With that said, I do not thin it is important to talk about how this or that religion teachs false doctrines; it will come to reveal itself in time. Many things, including false doctrines, was predicted by Jesus Christ. Our time on this fallen earth would be better spent teaching love, then it would be talking how this or that is a lie. Yes, there are false doctrines. It is no threat to you, because you have the true God on your side. Do not let the fact that we live in a fallen world bring you down, because you'll find yourself paying more attention to the lies, more so then you do about what Jesus said.

    Hi djmantx

It is not possible to attribute deception to the God of the Bible. The Quran speaks of Allah as the best of deceivers, the premiere schemer and conniving one. "makr" (scheming or plotting) which is actually an act of deception aiming at causing evil.

Allah abrogated his eternal speech, he can't be trusted.

It seems logical to me that since Islam was founded on a lie (Muhammad was the prophet of YAHWEH and Jesus is was ONLY a prophet) the religion itself would continue to bathe itself in lies. The Devil is alive and well today putting lies in peoples heads about the Bible so they will be in disbelief. If Muslims always assume the Bible is corrupted they will not read it and even if they do read it they will have a biased opinion and that is what Satan wants, we are only defenseless if we don't have the Word of God in our hearts. We fight Satan with our sword the BIBLE which is God breathe Muslims are defenseless because they do not have the Bible in their hearts.

Christians know our Bible is not corrupted we have our original manuscripts the whole process to put the Bible together took over 350 years and the Bible is not from one persons opinions and point of view each prophet or Apostle could bear witness for the other since God said that we need 2/3 to be in agreement and testify if the person who speaks is a prophet Muhammad did not have anyone to speak for him or declare he was a prophet Muhammad spoke of his own authority and said things YAHWEH did not tell him to say Muhammad did not even come from the same bloodline YAHWEH promised to send all of the prophets 1)Muhammad is not of the bloodline of the prophets 2) Muhammad does not speak in the name of YAHWEH but in the name of another "god" 3)Muhammad denies the divinity of Jesus the Death and Resurrection of Jesus while exalting his own name 4)Muhammad does not bear good fruit all this and MORE makes him a false prophet and makes what is written in the Qu'ran lies Christians don't fear Judgment day and we don't fear Muhammad's hell either BORN again Christians are sealed up by the Holy Spirit who can deliver us out of the hands of the SAVIOR NO ONE .

THE BIBLE IS NOT CORRUPT, THE BIBLES MESSAGE HAS BEEN THE SAME FOR 2,000 YRS

The Original copies of the Old Testament were written on leather or papyrus from the time of Moses (ca 1450 B.C.) to the time of Malachi(400 B.C.) until the sensational discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 Christians did not posses copies of the Old Testament earlier than A.D. 895. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered they gave us a Hebrew text from the second century B.C. of all but on of the books (Esther) of the Old Testament. This was the greatest importance because the Dead Sea Scrolls provided a much earlier check on the accuracy of the Masoretic text which has now proved to be extremely accurate. Also early checks on the Hebrew text include the Septuagint translation (middle third century B.C.) the Aramaic Targums (Paraphrases and quotes of the Old Testament Quotations in Christian writers and Latin translation of Jerome(A.D. 400) that was made directly from the Hebrew text of his day. All these give us the data for being assured of having an accurate text in the Old Testament.

The New Testament Christians have more then 5,000 manuscripts which makes the New Testament the best attested document of all ancient writings. The approximately seventy-five papyri fragments dates from A.D. 135 to the eighth century and cover parts of twenty-five of the twenty-seven books and about 40 percent o the text. The many hundreds of parchment copies include the great Codex of Sinaiticus (Fourth century) the Codex Vaticanus(also Fourth Century) and the Codex Alexandrinus(5th century) in addition, there are 2,000 lectionaries (church service books containing many Scriptures portions) more then 86,0000 quotations of the New Testament in the church Fathers, Old Latin Syriac and Egyptian translations from the third century and Jerome Latin translations. Furthermore Christians posses more then 4,5000 Greek Manuscripts plus some 8,000 Latin Manuscripts and at least 1,000 other versions into which the original books were translated. All of the data plus all of the scholarly work that has been done it it assures us that we posses today an accurate reliable text of both the Old and New Testament.

So for a Muslim to say out of the blue that the Bible or that Christianity has changed without giving proof of it is to portray falsehood to the extreme. The Bible can speak for itself because God said

"VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, BUT MY WORDS WILL NEVER PASS AWAY."

Allah is a liar and the kings of liars if anyone denies Christ he is the anti-Christ and Muhammad is just one of the many false prophets Jesus Christ warned us to beware of Muhammad is not the first one to deny Christ and he will not be the last there are false prophets and false teachers alive today.

Everyone and every cultures has there own beliefs. I think its important for people to realize that there are many interpretations of god and there are many roads to god, god isnt just one thing

I'm pretty sure all of us can agree that religion is one of the biggest arguments of the world. djmantx@ why do you feel the need to try to 'MAKE' others believe the same as you? Some people like to call these people " Bible thumpers ". Strange. But I mean, why does everyone have to be the same? Why can't different people have different religions? Personally, I don't have a religion.

God has nothing to do with religious doctrines....Religion was created by man...You either believe in God ...or you believe in religion.when I say I beleive in god that means I beleive in myself & my higher power.

WHat I consider god to be does not have to be what you consider god to be. you/we should respect all peoples beleifs.

Honestly from a neutral view point, Your christian bible holds no more truth or proof than the Koran does to me. You are just trying to shove your belief down peoples throat.

Surah 5 has 120 ayats (there is no 5:369) and that is only the tip of the ice berg of what you have wrong. I hope you will repent and stop spreading lies. It is your soul on the line. Nothing you write will cause anyone else hardship. Salams.

Source(s): Yeah...I'm not bothering to answer your Q...just warning you... Yup you're not all knowing only God is...Qur'an is not just for Muslims...it is for everybody to see and believe in...why is it that there are several different copies of the Bibles in every different country? Half the rules of the Bible isn't even followed properly by the people who claim they're Christians...Christianity was ONCE the true religion... What do you mean by Hebrew and Greek? When I said different copies of the Bible I meant that the content of it has been changed! Dude we believe in the same God...except we don't believe that God expresses himself in three 'persons' -.- Just as you are trying to spread the 'truth' so am I [mine being the truth that exists today not thousands of years ago] Well we both did our job...you warned me...I warned you :) See ya in the Day of Judgement!

    1. [3:54] وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ

Makr means to employ a plan, not known to the opponent, to outwit and have an upper hand over him. It is condemnable if employed for an evil purpose. It is commendable if employed for a good purpose. The Jews plotted to put Isa to death, but Allah saved him by frustrating his enemies' plot.

    2. [5:369} >>no such thing, so what verse are u referring to. though yes, taqqiya is to be used under EXTREME circumstances whereby your life is threatened.

    3. [14:4] To every people was sent a messenger of Allah who conveyed the divine message to them in their language, but it did not restrict his mission to that particular people. Through them it reached all mankind. The most distressed area was selected to start the campaign of "guidance unto order through knowledge of divine laws'' to put an end to disorder and ignorance prevailing in the society, which also served other such areas. As a matter of course the language of the people who were originally addressed had to be used. Although the Holy Prophet was sent with a book in Arabic, his mission was universal. To say that his mission was restricted to the Arabic speaking people is an unclad for restriction of his universal mission. According to Bible prophet Isa was sent to "the lost sheep of the house of Israel, and to them alone" (Matthew 15: 24) to whom he spoke in Hebrew, and he himself restricted his field of activity to the children of Israel as stated in the New Testament; and further, Matthew 10:5 says that Isa sent out his twelve disciples with the instructions: "Do not take the road to gentile lands, and do not enter any Samaritan town; but go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel," but today he is accepted as a universal teacher.

    5. >> not interested in this one, its a sunni hadith, couldnt care less.

    6. [4:88] did u not read 4:87] Allah, there is no god but He-- He will most certainly gather you together on the resurrection day, there is no doubt in it; and who is more true in word than Allah?

    7. The doctrine of progressive revelation from age to age and time to time does not mean that Allah's fundamental law changes. It was sheer ignorance of the infidels to charge the messenger of Allah with forgery because the message as revealed to him was in different form from that which was revealed before, when the core of the truth is the same, for it came from Allah. This verse refers to the changes the Quran introduced in the teachings of the previous scriptures because of which the infidels thought that it was a forgery, and asserts that the same holy spirit (Jibra-il) has brought the revelation to the Holy Prophet.

2:106] Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?

10:15] And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who hope not for Our meeting say: Bring a Quran other than this or change it. Say: It does not beseem me that I should change it of myself; I follow naught but what is revealed to me; surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a mighty day.

10:16] Say: If Allah had desired (otherwise) I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have taught it to you; indeed I have lived a lifetime among you before it; do you not then understand?

8 + 9) hadith related, so again im not interested.

    10) The prophets of Allah were sent to eradicate corruption and evil-a natural consequence of polytheism. Allah gave enough rope to the people, but neither affluence nor suffering taught them patience, humility, gratitude and kindness to others because they belied the signs of Allah and rejected belief and guidance preached to them by the messengers of Allah. They thought such things happened in all ages, but they were found napping and helpless when wrath of Allah seized them in the midst of their obstinate infidelity. The prophets who were rejected by their own people stood firm on Allah's message, and were able to convince a few to believe in Allah and His message. Those who had heard the message and rejected it found it more difficult to retrace their steps. Evil had blocked the channels of Allah's grace to them. With each step they fell deeper and deeper into the mire.

7:94] And We did not send a prophet in a town but We overtook its people with distress and affliction in order that they might humble themselves.

    11. the bible is corrupt because people corrupted the UNCORRUPT message of God. the message of God has always been the same, but people were far too hard headed.
