I have just joined a telemarketing thing,and I have a "country" accent....will this cause any problems??
so basially i have to like call canada and like sell them some stuff over the phone....i noe its like gonna be hard and stuff...but i was wondering if my acent will cause any problems????
which accent is most preferred and will make u listen to more???

For me the "English" accent has a trusting ring to it. Though I myself being from the south hear a lot of country accents, but in my mind though I don't like to admit it I wonder how intelligent is this person before I even get to know them. I really wish I wouldn't stereo type like that.

I can't remember the last time I got a telemarketing call where the caller actually had an American accent. These days if you get a telemarketing call, or if you have to call tech support, you expect to talk to somebody from Hyderabad or Karachi. We're used to it by now so you'll be fine.
