I need a good point and shoot camera..?

Do you have any suggestions? I really don't want to pay more than 450 for it.

    You+car+local camera or electronics store.

For Point and shoot, how it feels is very important. You can't figure that out from online specs.

Go to a store like best buy and try out some models. Some have complicated interfaces, some wont. Some use SD cards, some XD, some CF. There are many, many factors. Some have rechargable batteries, some can use AA batteries.

I'd go and experiment, take some notes, and listen to a sales representative. While they are usually pretty clueless, they can help a bit.

You have a good budget . Check out Canon G-10 and G-11 and also Nikon P90 and P100.

theres some nice lightweight point and shoot cameras out there, but is it digital your after? or film.

    im guessing it digtial.

digtial SLR? or Small digitla cameras.

small digtial cameras like to pop in your bag or take out sight seeing or on a night out with friends i go with a samsung, they look nice and are reasonablly priced.

    on the Digital SLR front

i would look into canon. there easy to use and are packed full of features point and shoot people might like.

Nikon are also go, but there more on the pro side and dont have as many features in them. D60 is really nice.

fuji make good point and shoots... as do canon...

you could always look at www.dpreviews.com for details about what they recommend... under compacts...

i have a fuji f100fd... but i understand the fuji f200exr is far superior...
