    This Song.

She sees the world thru rose coloured glasses,

Painted skys and dreams of romances

I see a world that's tired and scared

Of living on the edge too long

Where does she get off telling me

That love could save us all

    Save us all

She takes my hand and leads me to another time

    No matter where I am,

It's always good in her eyes

In the cool of the evening blue

I feel so tired and alone

Where does she get off telling me

That love could save us all

    Save us all

    Chorus:

    And it's day after day

I keep hanging around, can you tell me why

    Night after night

And I know I should leave but there's somethin

    In those eyes

    That keeps me hanging on

    I'm hypnotized

And it breaks my heart and I don't know why.

I love water, and have always loved it, but it does not taste good in some places I have been. Our family laughed at us when we came back from the West Coast with bottled water, and I carried water to Florida when we went, and Myrtle Beach, S.C. I would say I drink more than eight glasses a day. Alcohol affects me adversely and dries me up so I want more water. I do not have sugar diabetes, though. I guess I got into the habit when I was little because we were not allowed to drink coffee or tea, and water and Kool Aid were about the only things we had besides milk, and never chocolate milk.

Lol, Dizz, it reminds me of my dear niece, 15yo, and a "hippie clone", born in the wrong era!

We were discussing the 60's & 70's recently and I told her that the hippies of the day saw the "world through rose tinted glasses".

She asked me to explain. I admitted that she had me stumped. My best explanation was that it helped to 'brighten' an otherwise darkening world, that everything was cool and groovy (her favourite word).

I think it's fine, better than blocking out what you don't want to see with mind altering drugs.

If we need a reality check - we can just take them off.

If it all gets too much to bear - put them on again!

I think everyone should have a pair; my Avatar does! :)

Well, since I usually get my glasses tinted rose, guess I don't6 know, except rose tint to me means being able to see at all.

    My friend Michael !

He had the COOLEST!! pair of rose-colored sunglasses!!

They really DID make everything look better.

Second, of course, is the bring-down answer :

Someone who sees everything/something as being someow better than it really is.

Distorted color. jk. Little sister, it is not bad. Most people associate that with just seeing things the way you wish they were and not the way they actualy are.

Politicians ... trying to put a rosey, positive spin on everything ...

while they do their dirty-work behind the scenes ... thinking we don't have a clue.

... BUT WE DO! ... "Never let a fool kiss you ... or a kiss fool you!"

dizz, to me it means that you see nothing wrong with the world. A perfect world, a utopia...
