why are my favorite shows heroes and flashforward being cancelled?

As someone who has seen every single episode of Heroes and FlashForward, I can say that I agree they should have been cancelled. The first season of Heroes had really good ratings, and it's gone down every year since. I think they said the 4th season finale only had about 1/3 the number of people who watched the 1st season finale. And it's hard to argue the quality of the writing has gone down. Half the stuff on there didn't make sense. And the fact that characters would regularly die and come back to life turned a lot of people off. Characters are supposed to die in adult-targeted dramas. But all these people kept dying in episodes but then would just come back to life like nothing happened in next episode.

I liked FlashForward, but again, its ratings were among the lowest on ABC. They had to cancel it. Though I personally think V is a superior show to Flash Forward. And with a story like it had, with everyone seeing that one day (April 13th I believe), where was there to go after that? I just don't think there was anything else for them to go.

That, and the characters were really boring. I can't even think of a single character's name.
