Question for College Soap Viewers?
I have a question for soap fans that are currently in college- do you find that you have more or less time during the week to watch soaps compared to when you were in high school? Do you watch live, download the episodes, record them (either with a DVR, VCR, or DVD recorder)? This might be a bit of a weird question, but I love soaps and I start college the last week of August. Depending on when my classes are I probably won't get to decide whether to watch live or later the same day.

I had much more time to watch television when i was in highschool. I watch my soaps live. I don't really have any other choice- I have dial up internet so downloading is out, and no recording device to record anything.
My first semester I went Tues and Thurs from 8 in the morning until 9 at night'. Yes it was exhausting and I missed my soaps. I just read about them on the internet when I wasn't able to watch.
My second semester which just ended was from 8 until 2 Tues & Thurs. It went much more smoothly and I always got home in time to watch my soaps.
My next semester is going to be the same time wise- Tues & THurs from 8 until 2.
My adviser said that I will eventually have to go 5 days a week ( for my sciences classes, MWF are lecture days and Tues Thurs are lab days) which worries me about my soaps, hopefully I can get home in time to watch! But I"ll cross that bridge whenever I get there.
How many hours do you plan to take? 8 until 2 worked out good for me and I took 12 hrs.
Good luck but really as long as you have a DVR or something to record it with you are good. Me, not so much! I either have to watch it when it comes on or I"m screwed. lol

I've been going to College for a year and I can watch my soap live. It just depends when your classes are and when the soap you watch comes on. I couldn't watch my soap in high school because I got home later than the show.

i watch my soaps live more now that i am in college than i did while i was in high school because they were all done by the time i got home. in college you have more control on your schedule so it may be easier to sneak back to your dorm to watch it. i have mostly morning classes so it gives me time to watch it live but if i cant i just watch it online or just read the daily recaps if i completely don't have time. now around finals is when i seem to never have time to watch it live but i watch it online then.
