    Well the Aztecs were settled in a Lake that they had to partially dry off, the streets of Tenochtitlan, (the Aztec capital city) were filled with water, the people would travel in canoes, and they would built chinampas which are squares of dry land in which they would construct houses and buildings; The Mayans on the other side were settled in the marshy jungles of Yucatan and their streets were less well traced.

    Both cultures used trading as a way of commerce and they did not knew coinage as some silly movies show; Human Sacrifice were far less practiced in the Mayan world and they would sacrifice forengiers or slaves rather than Mayans of their own blood, it is also known that they painted they sacrifice victims in blue and would sacrifice them by shooting arrows at them, removing their hearts or casting them into the Cenote Sagrado a sacred pit of water, the victims of the Cenote usually show signs of having being drugged, or decapitated before being casted there.

    The Aztecs had a vast empire that occupied all the south center of today's Mexico; The Mayans were scattered in many City-States that would ally themselves together in times of war; their clothing and weapons were very similar.

    30 odd years ago you would get a lot of puzzled looks and someone finally would explode:

    You do know where the Library is, don't you?

    Nowadays you don't even have to go that far (!);

    you do know google, don't you?
