    Howdy-

I definitely understand your predicament! I use anise tea because it's a holistic "cootie killer". Honestly, I don't know how it works but I use it for colds, flu's and even for pneumonia. It cured my pneumonia in 2 days-- doc couldn't believe I wasn't headed to the hospital as he suspected I would. I was in very bad shape and on oxygen at home. Within 4 hours of my first dose I started coughing everything up and my sinuses flooded-- sorry for the gross imagery but it's accurate. On the 3rd day I started jogging again. I'm so fortunate my friend told me to try it.

I add a LOT of honey because it's a natural antibiotic and it also sooths throats and tummies. If I need a little more tummy fixer, I add a bit of ginger to the mix. I've even given the kids a teaspoon of honey when they first start to get ill. It either heals them up or makes the cold last less time. The honey also takes the edge off the strong licorice flavor. Not everyone likes licorice.
