How do I get rid of a virus?

DEAR GOD. That thing is the biggest pain in the butt. I had it. I used rkill to stop the programs and then downloaded Malwarebytes. If you have a computer virus and are unable to run your antivirus program, perhaps you should try booting your computer into Safe Mode with Networking and then try to run your antivirus program.
