Why not leave the "Drug Testing" issue to the Nevada State Athletic Commission on the PACMAN-MONEY fight?

Why not leave it to the State (most probably nevada) to decide on what "drug testing" they will apply...im sure they are the one knows best...and to be fair on both sides...so that there will be no more excuses!

Well i heard that Mosley was on steroids and the commission never knew so Pacquiao could do the same thing or any other fighter. That's why

As has been pointed out in many a forum, everything in boxing has long been subject to negotiations. Even the type of the gloves to be used, the size of the ring, the venue of the fight whether indoor or outdoor. If one will remember, Pacquiao managed to negotiate with the Morales camp his use of his favorite Cleto Reyes gloves in their rematches while Morales opted for the usual Everlast gloves. The NSAC did not object to that since it had been agreed upon by both camps in the negotiations.

The issue of random drug testing could be negotiated independent of the policies of any state, federal or national sports commission since drug testing is required by the world boxing governing bodies, especially the WBO.

No state nor national or federal sports commission has already assumed jurisdiction of the fight since even the venue is still not yet agreed upon. What if it is held in Dallas instead of Nevada? Or even Manila? Or some money-rich cities as Macau or Dhubai?

Let's leave the issue to the better judgment of the two camps involved in the negotiations. Let's not be too biased or partial on this because the fight has the potentials to be the richest and most important in this new century. We boxing fans cannot just give them those multi-million purses by applying just the old, archaic rules of the NSAC or any of those inept state, federal or national commissions. IF there's one thing that would make their fight distinct from the others we have had in the 2000s, it not just the biggest purse ever but the application of the random drug test!

The state commissions methods are behind the times and apparently due to cost and political issues are not trying very hard to catch up. The scheduled urine test are just not enough to catch users of EPO or HGH. Also, the people who keep claiming that manny has passed numerous tests and proved that he is clean, do not know what they are talking about. Manny HAS NEVER taken a test unless he knew exactly when it was going to take place and if a cheater knows when the test will be given it is very easy to beat it.

@ Gatcho - These are NOT mandatory fights so both fighters have the right to state their demands and if the other fighter does not want to comply they have the right to reject the fight. Example: Pacman insisted on $10 million for every lb over the weight limit that Mayweather weighed. Mayweather agreed but he had the right to say no and reject the fight. Manny has the right to say no to random blood testing but, whatever the case, it is Mayweaher's right to make that demand.

That is what Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach himself stated.

Roach: "Let the commission do their job"

Pacquiao: "I will do anything the commission requires"

The thing that really block this fight from happening is EGO. Floyd thinks he is a top draw in boxing such that he can dictate the rules of the fight. Manny thinks no boxer can push him aside dictating the terms of a fight. I highly doubt Floyd really doubts Manny's being clean, after all Manny has been proven clean 11 times already. But when Floyd thought he could dictate Manny and Manny refused, he could no longer back out because that would mean he couldn't push other boxers around, so Floyd has to stick to what he started even if all the scientists, doctors, and experts tell him he is going overboard.

the testing they do right know doesn't catch the hgh and the epo which is out your system in 5 day's and you do not see anyone in manny camp trying to take that test he's the money cow you know something is fishy when abrums is in no hurry to make the highest paying fight over a blood test and they keep setting limits if manny takes the test and beats floyd this one fan that will say he is the best but i have a feeling he won't take it or he gets ko'd.

Money wants all his future opponents to take random blood and urine tests.

If a fighter wants to follow the commission's rules, he can fight the commission.

What part of that don't you and Manny understand?

Here's why. 1. They haven't been asked by both fighters to make the decision for them. 2. If asked they would Bow out making the fighters responsible. 3, They do not want the responsibility of paying for it nor do they want to make precedence to show commitment. 4. Mayweather is adamant to do it his way.

@DEWEY: how old exactly are you? it's like saying that if you follow the referee in boxing, you should fight the referee.

so if i tell you (as a fellow yahoo member) to shut the hell up ... you're going to follow it? ... and not follow Yahoo's rules? lmao! because if you truly believe what you just said ... then you should stop posting now just because i told you to do so. otherwise, you're just like me following the rules of Yahoo. i joined Yahoo and agreed to its terms ... so did the boxers when they joined the sport. I don't have the right to tell any of you guys to bow down to my terms in here because this isn't my site ... just like Floyd Mayweather because he doesn't own the sport of boxing.

boxers are there to fight ... its the commision's job to generate the rules. regardless of how you try and create stuff up to make it look like that the boxers should be the one creating rules ... that's how boxing worked for decades.

people like you should start watching WWE instead ... because that's were the wrestlers / fighters can create their own rules ... heck, they can even fight the CEO himself lmao!

that's a good idea..and that is what manny has been pointing about. but chicken floyd doesn't want to fight pacquiao at this level. and this random drug testing (chicken floyd style ;-)) is the best way to avoid his very first knockout loss.

Because mayweather is interested in drugs ... thats why he wanted to get involve.. ( somehow i think that came out wrong hahahaha )
