Anyone hiring in the Detroit MI area?

Detroit is one of the hardest hit cities in the nation ranging from 15% to some stating even higher near 21% yet there are areas where there is employment.

Noting here the losses started in 2009 and grew at a pace higher than expected.

Huffington Post gives it way higher near 50% yet they are looking at total unemployed and the underemployed as well the mayor states it's nearer to 30%

It really depends on what you want to do. There are tons of jobs posted on internet job boards but still plenty of unemployment. Be sure to research what you are truly qualified to do then use key search words to find jobs. 3 of my friends were rectly hired in office type jobs this past month after being laid off for several months. So it is happening.

Simple answer would be no.
