Can any webcam support Skype?

I would like some advice on purchasing a decent webcam that I can use for Skype.

Well all you need is a webcam in general. If your computer supports it, then skype will support it.

I just checked on bestbuy.com and here's one I'd recommend. It's Logitech which is what brand I always trust with my computer accessories, and its pretty cheap.

All you do is plug it in, and it should automatically install.

    Hope it helps.

Most PC or Mac-compatible webcams should work with Skype, although some older models may not. Make sure you download and install the most recent drivers for your webcam (you can get these from the webcam manufacturer’s site). Or, you can buy a webcam that’s guaranteed to work seamlessly with Skype from the Skype Shop.

All cameras are supported but only the newest logitech cameras are certified so to speak. So if your camera cand do 30fps at 640 then you are all set. However currently only these are the cameras that have been tested and found to deliver really good quality with 640x480 resolution at 30 frames per second.
