how to catch a goat that some one dumped?
any suggestions how to catch a timid goat that some one dumped in the forestry near our home
there was 5 of them dumped 4 have been caught [1 billy 2 nannies 1 kid ] but there is one left and wont caught for life or money it strays on to the main road and i am scared it will get killed if you get any where near it it runs back into the forest we have tried the sspca but they say its wild so best leave it be wtf there has never been any wild goats deer yes goats no also a white van was seen parked up then driving away fast plz help any suggestions at all

the best way to catch an animal is FOOD. especially goats. Try and let him see you taking some food over there for him..leftover bread..grain if you have it..anything really..take it and leave it in a place where it would be easy to catch him..then walk away..dont even let on you know he is there..after he eats it all..wait a bit and take some more..he may even come to meet you..anyway just keep doing this until he is waiting for you...have a rope with a noose in it not for his head but for his feet..let him walk over the noose and then pull when his leg is in it..either that or get some food that makes noise in a pail..grain or even uncooked oatmeal..get as close as you can til he looks nervous then just sprinkle some on the ground while shking the can a bit to make some noise..walk a bit away and keep doing it to gt him to follow you..if he is hungry enough and has been fed on a farm before he will know what the pail is for and should come to you..just lead him into a secure spot and then dump all the food and enclose him if you can..a garage or something would work

Well my boyfriend owns goats and i know that they are easy for us to catch depending on what the sex is, males are easier than females, but the best way is to find something they can eat and lasso their butts into a pin. or have someone behind them when they are fed by you
