How can I learn how to sing again?
Right I quit smoking over a year ago and since then I've lost my singing voice. I can't even hold a note consistantly and basically I can't control my voice very well any more. I was wondering what I can do to get it back (without smoking)? I could sing before I started smoking too, just since I stopped it's totally gone.

maybe you should find a vocal coach, I'm looking for one,I also smoke (currently)

Like the others have alreay said, a good vocal coach is the answer. However, private lessons can be expensive. A couple of years ago I discovered Brett Manning online and I bought his course. It think it was a couple of hundred bucks. I was skeptical but no more. I discovered an entire octive I didn't even know I had and it just keeps getting better. You can do the lessons over and over and always get more from them. There are some used courses on e-bay as well.

Find a voice instructor and train your voice gradually. Practice as much as possible but take it easy on your voice and drink lots of water before you sing.

You need some pretty serious rehabilitation for singing. Practice will help TONS. I'm a singer, taken lessons for about 5.5 years, it will help to know some secrets.
