tracking shipment -- Please help me?
My friend had sent me a Zippo from USA using USPS 3 months ago. I still havent recieved it yet. While sending it she did not make a note of the tracking number or anything which could be used to track our shipment. I tried calling USPS they told me nothing can be done if we do not have tracking number. Is there anyone out there who think that this is solvable.
Note: This was a present from me for our anniversary and now i am out of cash with no present.

I work for the post office and sorry without the tracking number we cannot tract anything. In austin alone where I live we deliver over 2million letters a day and packages we at least ship out 8000 a day. and this is just austin. You add the whole country and you are talking millions upon millions of packages. This is why we always push the tracking so much. If she has her receipt the tracking number will be on the receipt also. I hope she finds the receipt.

You don't do anything. Some packages really aren't available for tracking. I have my fair share of those ordering for Amazon. I guess it's because tracking numbers increase the cost a little bit more so the company isn't willing to pay for it?
