Do you think the oil spill will affect the intensity of hurricanes in the gulf?

If so, do you think it will increase or decrease the intenisty of the storm?.

    The oil will have zero impact on a hurricane's intensity as the oil temperature will be the exact same as the sea water. In fact, the hurricane will likely pick up heat energy from the oil to make it stronger.

    Quite a few factors involved, but the short answer is, if the spill affects hurricanes at all, it wont be by very much.
