Hey, I have a small poodle and I want it to play frisbee!?

Can small poodle play frisbee?

I am trying it hard and she doesn't even want to look at the frisbee and I feel some idiot at the park throwing it and nothing. Do you know small dogs that play frisbee?

You need to start at home getting her to catch smaller toys in her mouth. Tell her "sit" then toss the toy or ball at her and say catch. Ignore her when she doesnt catch it and try again. When she catches it give her a lot of praise and attention showing her that is what you want. Gradually work up to using a frisbee.

She may not have a strong retrieving instinct. Some dogs are uninterested in playing fetch or frisbee.

I have a pomeranian mix that loves playing frisbee or any kind of catch. When we fist got him he didn't want anything to do with a ball or frisbee. So fist we got squeaky toys and played with him for a while with those and would throw them for him, them we moved on to little racket balls and got him to fetch those. Then we started throwing tennis balls and now he plays with tennis balls and frisbees. Hope this helps! Good Luck.

Some dogs just won't play frisbee...like ones that aren't interested in frisbees...lol. Does she like balls...? maybe you could teach her to fetch. Some dogs only like certain toys.

I haven't tried a frisbee with my poodle/bichon mix but I know she LOVES her stuffed toy ducky. Are you using a regular size frisbee or a smaller one? Dogs with a small mouth prob can't hold up a large frisbee. I found this website about how to get a dog to love frisbee...

This world is just a maya or mirage or a temporary phase, I have watched dogs performing mathematical calculations like additions or substractions or multiplications, I have also watched them picking balls, jumping through loops, taking part in movies and so if you love your dog truly and exercise or train him properly may be it is quite possible that some day in future your poodle plays with fris-bee with you because nothing is impossible or unattainable and dogs are definitely cleverer than humanoids.
