Lost question: why do you think Miles, Frank and Richard were not w/the Losties in the church?

Do you think its cause they already moved on and didn't "need" the others to go on? Thanks.

I don't think it matters when the people died, because like Jack's Dad said, some of these people (like Kate and the others who got on that plane) lived for a long time afterwards. I think who was in the church (and the whole alternate timeline that led up to the church) was only in Jack's reality, so maybe Miles, Frank and Richard weren't as important in Jack's thoughts....but then that doesn't explain all the events in that timeline that Jack wasn't in.. so I guess I don't know, it's all up to our own interpretation.

Richard/Frank weren't even shown in that realm, I choose that Richard is back with Isabel, either moved on or in a Sideways proper to their time together. Frank seems so tough and no-nonsense I don't think he'd have to let go of anything.

Miles is their but hes got father and maybe mother issues, and he might still have to work out how he got his "ghost-buster" powers and what they mean.

because Miles, although he spent time time with the losties, he wasnt as connected to them, i dont think his time with them was the most important part of his life otherwise he would have remembered the island, working as close as he did with sawyer. Christian said that they were in that church ready to move on together because the time they all spent on the island was the most important part of their lives when they were alive, same with Frank, and Richard well i think he would consider the time spent with his wife as the most important part of his life so he needs to find her in the sideways world in order to move on.

I think it's because they were not ready to move on for one reason or another. Like when Ben told Hurley he had some things to take care of.... he wasn't ready yet. It's really up to you to figure out what answer works for you, that is why the writers and the show are pure geinus.

They are not dead yet and are still living their lives or as you say they have moved on already. Miles was seen in the flash sideways as a partner with Sawyer so he is definitely dead but still got stuff to work out before moving on, like Linus.

Miles Strom, Frank Lapidus, and Richard Alpert didn't have much to do with the Island at this time, that's why they weren't at the Church. They were on their own. I hope I helped. I'm a huge LOST fan. :D

I definitely don't think it's because they are not dead yet... I don't think those characters were in the church because they weren't really significant to Jack, and/or weren't in the original plane crash. I'm not saying that Penny Widmore was on the original plane, or significant to Jack, but she was with Desmond, who was significant to Jack. That's my best guess... There's no real answer to that, we're supposed to figure that our for out own!

I was thinking it was because they were not dead yet. Why Miles was in the sideways/weigh-station is a bit of a mystery to me, but I'm satisfied to let a few mysteries "be".

most likely because they were secondary to the main group. The people who were gathered in the purgatory were the central "family" of those who were on the island. They were also the closest to Jack as they were waiting for him to accept his death

But Kate and Sawyer killed people, Sawyer conned people, Sayid killed and torchered MANY people so I dont think that would be the reason
