Lost question: do you think Elosie(Daniels mom)didn't want to move on cause she was afraid she'd go to Hell?

Also, do you think that is why she did not want Daniel to go, as they'd be separated forever? Thanks.

You may have a point. She may have felt this way because she killed Daniel back in the 70s. It may stem from guilt and the unknowing of what may happen if she were to move on.

I don't think Eloise Hawking (Daniel Faraday's mom) had anything to do with Heaven or Hell. She didn't go to the Church, because she had nothing to do with the Island. Only when she was around her 20s or so, and that didn't matter much at this time. I hope I helped. I'm a huge LOST fan. :D

No, because I don't think it was about heaven or hell. I think it was about "moving on" to the next spiritual level, or a new lifetime. More of a buddhist or karma thing than a christian thing. I think she wanted to be with Daniel and see him happy in that weigh-station between life/death and after-life. That's why she did not want to move on, she was able to "live out" her own dream of a family with a good Widmore and Daniel. But that's just my personal interpretation.

i think that when eloise and daniel were alive, she didnt spend a lot of time with him and wasnt the best mother. now they are dead and in limbo land {lax} she gets to be with him and she is not ready to give that up so she doesnt want him to know about the island, doesnt want him to remember but i think that he would because he has now met charlotte in limbo land and his memories of her and the island will return.

I think it was because Daniel was not ready to move on, she asked Desmond if he was taking her son and he said he is not ready yet
