How do you pronounce Steve Perry's real last name?

Pereira (Portuguese heritage)

Is it Peh - reh - eera? Please help! I want to know!

    It is true, is real name is indeed Pereira from Portugal.

    I am portuguese and it is pronounced something like Puh-Rey-rah, soft R's, almost unpronounceable, difficult for an english speaker.

    Yeah, I don't speak Portuguese, so I might be totally off. It is a possibility I said my 8th grade science teacher's name wrong for an entire year. xD
