Can I hold the OAG of Texas in contempt of court?

I have been trying to get the Office of the Attorney General of Texas to enforce the NonCustodial parent to carry insurance as stated in the order the Office of the Attorney General prepared.

It has been 6 months since the child has been on insurance and I have 2 doctors bills I have to pay. I have been contacting the OAG monthly and all they say is we sent a letter to his employer for verification.

I am now going to the Governor and the Attorney Generals Office in Austin to get some help and also writing the judge on my case.

The OAG is not enforcing the order THEY made and was just wondering if the OAG (unit 407) is in contempt of court as well as the NonCustodial parent?

No, you cannot. Only a judge can hold someone in contempt of court.

A judge can hold the OAG in contempt but few will. I have known a judge to do so only when the state is acting FAR out of its boundaries, or when the AAG is behaving inappropriately. It is possible, but the court doesn't want to cost the taxpayers by doing so. Regardless, your problem is that you have no right that has been violated here, at least not by the AG. The OAG is a state agency that has been created for certain functions, but you don't have a legal right to FORCE them to fulfill those functions. They don't represent you, they represent the state. If the state chooses, they can enforce the order. But if they choose not to, your best option is to hire a private attorney to do so.
