Is it safe for a tourist to visit E Snyder Ave in Philadelphia?

I want to go to John's Roast Pork on my first trip to Philadelphia. I'm not gonna rent a car and I'm gonna stay in a hotel in center city. I'd have to use public transport and walk down E Snyder Avenue. This would probably happen some time between 11 am and 1 pm. Is that a safe area to visit?

    That's in a shopping district along the river in South Philly. You'll be fine.

    From Center City, take a southbound bus from Penn's Landing on Delaware Ave. (aka Columbus Blvd.) and get off at Snyder Ave. It's about 2 blocks away from the river.
