Lie on your back, hold onto something stationary behind your head and raise your legs in the air.
Also try 'crunches' rather than sit-ups, less strain on the back this way.

PLANKS (best one in my opinion). Leg lifts, Jackknifes, and crunch's. That basically focuses on the abs, but if you're looking towards building a 6-pack, then you need to eat 3 meals a day high in protein, low in fat. Such as boiled chicken, or baked, little fat as possible, like a lean cut steak, also 2 HEALTHY snacks, such as an apple, or handful of grapes/strawberries. You also need to throw in cardio work outs, so jog around the block, or buy a jump rope, run in place, go biking with some friends, etc.

Crunches actually are not the best exercise for abs. Full body exercises or exercises involving more than a few muscle groups is the best for losing fat around the belly. When you lose the fat you will reveal your ab muscles.

Running is the ultimate way of getting abs. Eating healthy is essential, you can not get abs with out eating healthy and running. do fas crunches as well and butterfly kicks. Eating healthy, ruining and Running!!
