Why do you suppose Steve Perry is still single (not married) after all of these years?
As much as I love Steve, a lot of it is on him. 1) Why on earth did he immortalize Sherrie Swafford through song? 2) How many more break up/loves songs are about her that are not publicly known? 3) Could he still be in love with her after all of these years?! 4) Also, why on earth did she leave him?! That was just so wrong!

1. He probably just thought that Oh Sherrie sounded good in a song and it did, that's my favorite song he made including his Journey songs.
He might not be married because he likes to play the field or is very picky.

i thought maybe he was gay and afraid to come out too, but i dont think thats why maybe he just havent found someone he connected with after his ex.
