Tell me about recurrent thyroid cancer please.?
A friend has recurrent thyroid cancer, it has spread into lymph nodes in the neck and arm, is this fatal? Shes only 20 years old and in good health otherwise, what should we expect?

It depends on what kind of cancer she has. About 12% of thyroid cancers recur and overall 3-12% die from the disease.
