Is this a stupid idea "free shirts?"?

If you were looking for cheap/free shirts for your club, band or team, would you go through a service like mine, or do you think this is stupid? I want to help people set up a site where sponsors can donate for their shirts so they will get a name drop or logo on the shirts, and when the team, club, or band gets enough sponsors, they can get the shirts printed for free. See my sites here http://www.freeteamshirts.com/ http://www.freebandshirts.com/ http://www.freeclubshirts.com/

Update:

Well, I am a screen printer, so these are not my only web sites. I print locally in the Memphis, TN area.

Update 2:

I'm not going to print the shirts for free. I am going to take the sponsors' money for the shirts. They will be free for the teams or bands or clubs.

Update 3:

Thanks so much guys!

I think it's a brilliant idea! There are always teams/ clubs/ bands doing fundraisers to get the supplies they need. There are also fundraiser organizations you could work with to market this service.

I looked at your sites, and think it isn't really clear what you're offering. I frankly learned more from your "Additional Details" above...

Perhaps you can get one real example (or mock up an example and use that on your website, so they'd know that "TEAM ABC" would be on the shirts, and that the names of each of the sponsors of the project would be listed in much smaller font on the shirts. A picture is worth a thousand words - a graphic or a photo would explain much better than the text.

    Good luck to you!

I agree with Terry B about providing more information. This is a MUST. The process is going to take some creativity but it is doable with the right effort behind it.

Good luck, but I doubt you'll make any money.
