Kostya Tszyu vs. Hector Camacho at junior welterweight... describe the outcome.?

It's easy to dislike Camacho and judge him accordingly. People make the same misguided judgement with Floyd Mayweather. On the other hand, Kostya Tszyu is a very likable man. I've always admired him and I wasn't happy when he lost to Ricky Hatton because I think a Prime Tszyu would beat Hatton.

Still, I'm a boxing fan first and foremost. Hector Camacho is a very smart boxer. When people make comparisons to those Camacho and Tszyu have faced, there are some things they fail to consider. If you look at their fights with Rosario, Chavez, Judah and others, Chavez fought a post prime Camacho, who had been reduced to fighting for paydays. Tszyu fought a post prime Chavez who was fighting for the same reasons.

THe belief that Camacho changed after the Rosario fight is a valid one but one that I don't totally buy into. I'll take prime Camacho of that era but I don't assume that Tszyu would change Camacho during the fight. Tszyu can punch but I'd give Rosario a slight edge there. Neither Tszyu nor Rosario can be considered defensive wizards.

Zab Judah troubled Tszyu a bit and he's nearly as talented as Camacho. However, there is a big difference in Ring Intelligence. Camacho made his errors outside the ring. In the ring, he has always proven, even during loses, that he's very intelligent and makes the best use of the ring. Camacho has never been knocked out and even a poorly conditioned Macho Man has survived against some of boxing's hardest punchers.

The worst thing to so is to compare Camacho to Judah. Hector would never have made the mistakes Judah made against Tszyu. It wasn't Kostya's skill that won him the fight. This is to take nothing from him but he was smart enough to take advantage of Judah's stupidity in leaving himself open. Camacho has never made that kind of error.

Many don't remember but Hector Camacho was very intelligent inside the ring. Like him or not, you have to give him credit for his talent AND the intelligent USE of it. I say the same for Floyd Mayweather. People often speak of his Talent but I can show you a few boxers who actually have more Talent than Floyd. The difference is that you would be hard pressed to find a fighter, on Floyd's talent level, who USES that talent as well as Floyd does.

Floyd is a very smart fighter.

Hector Camacho is very smart too. He would be just a little too smart, and fast, for Kostya Tszyu. You'd be surprised at the number of great fighters Camacho would cause problems for. Tszyu is certainly one of them.

Kostya Tszyu was great with fighters that lacked mobility like Julio Cesar Chavez, Jesse James Leija, and Ben Tackie. He performed great ageist all of those fighters because none of them had the ability to move, Tszyu's best bet was to wait and lay on Right hand which is what he did the majority of the time. He waited on the right hand about as much as Joe Frazier waited on the left hook and his arsenal became some what predictable, even in the Leija fight where he follows him around with the right hand ****** back, that was typical Tszyu.

Hector Camacho was the worst thing stylistically for Kostya Tszyu epically the Post-Edwin Rosario Camacho that was almost scared to engage his opponents as recklessly as he had once done. I think Camacho's mobility troubles Tszyu just like Zab Judah did and chances are he Boxes his way to a decision.

How does one compare Kostya Tsyzu with Edwin Rosario? It was El Chapo Edwin Rosario who forever altered the fighting attitude of Hector Camacho from that of a macho crowd-pleasing boxer-counter puncher to a very safety-conscious boxer. But Rosario was not as great as Tyszu in their prime. Kostya was never beaten until upset by Vernon Philips and at the end of his career by the young Ricky Hatton while Rosario lost badly to Jose Luis Ramirez, Julio Cezar Chavez and Akinobu Hiranaka, all three by KO.

Therefore, Tyszu would be a bigger headache for Camacho in the jr. welterweight although Hector would trouble him with his movements, quickness and fast and more accurate counter-punching. The difference would be Kostya's aggressiveness and he would take and force the action to Camacho who would constantly hold and clinch to prevent Kostya from inflicting more damage, earning perhaps a point or two in deduction from the ref.

Tyszu by unanimous but close decision over Camacho with the judges giving him between two and three points edge in their scorecards..

I think that style is perfect for Tsyzu, I see the fight going similar to Camacho's fight with JCC. Tsyzu punched really hard for his weight, probably even harder then JCC and he wasn't afraid to get hit either. It wouldn't have been easy and Hector would win some rounds, but ultimately Tsyu would not be afraid of him and would walk through him and score with short rights to Camacho's jaw, once you start hitting Hector in the face, his natural instinct is to run around because he doesn't want to look ugly for when he goes out disco dancing later that night. Tsyzu unanimous.

I accept as true with the different guy's right here. Chavez in top could have destroyed Tszyu. It become unhappy to verify the over elderly Chavez whilst they fought . on the different hand,I additionally believe Tszyu become already an extremely elderly fighter whilst he fought Hatton and in his top could have overwhelmed Hatton. additionally, I observed the combat between Tszyu and the final guy on your checklist - Hector Lopez. in my opinion Lopez kicked Tszyu's *!* and gave him a brutal boxing lesson. in basic terms my opinion.
