If lack of money,is there help to be cremated?

Because of medical conditions, the cost of insurances is too high, therefore can anyone tell me if those who have little money can get help with full costs.

Income support will pay £700,but cost of cremation and funeral costs will amount to £3000.

I think when you go to register the death that there is government money to help pay for funeral costs and you get more if the person who dies is under, I think, 60. My grandad died when he was 81 and my nana was asked how much she had, they took some of that to pay for the cremation and then she had help with the rest. You could go on the direct.gov website to see what help you could get perhaps.

I think if you donated your body to science that they would cremate you for free. Try to google 'donate body to science" . That is what I plan to do.
