what can be reason of clutch judder?
I have just bought octavia 1.9 tdi with 70000 miles on the clock It is fine car but has cluth judder especially when clutch is released uphill roads. Even body starts shaking.Please help

A loose or broken engine mount/stabiliser. this would cause the engine to rock when the clutch takes up producing what you describe as a judder. If a rubber mounting bush is perished it would give the same effect.
Get yourself on a hill and do what you do to make it judder and have the bonnet up with a Pal watching the engine, If it is rocking then it will be quite obvious.

thrust bearing shot is probably what it is..plates not connecting even when under load..best to buy a new clutch kit and renew the lot itll only get worse or even cause severe damage.
