Is my tonsillitis viral or bacterial?
I'm 99.9% sure that I have tonsillitis since my friend that I made out with has it now.
My throat hurts like crazy and its hard to swallow. I can see the inflammation in the back of my throat.
How do I know if I have a viral infection of it or bacterial?
P.S. I've never had strep before in my life or any type of throat infection.

The only way to find out for sure what is causing your sore throat is for you to see a doctor. No one can diagnose you online.

It sounds more like strep throat or mono than tonsillitis because you can't spread tonsillitis from one person to another.
