What colors of makeup should I wear?

I'm ready to change up the way I look. I'm about to go to high school, and my mom says I'm ugly without makeup. Any help with this would be great. I need some colors that I should use for foundation, concealer, base, eyeshadow, mascara, blush, and anything lip related. Thanks for your help.

    Hey!

    First off, nobody's ugly.

As for actually answering your question, I'd go with berry tinted lips (I use that red lip stain from the Body Shop, works great, isn't too dark, AND it works as blush as well!) Just avoid going pale.

For your eyes, don't really use anything other than eyeliner or mascara. It'll mess with the color. If you really want to, use natural tones in beige or brown, which will contrast the blue and make it pop out even more. (:

I'd also stay away from foundations and concealers and stuff unless you break out a lot. Then just use it on whatever you're hiding and blend it in. Full face makeup tends to look cake-y and fake. And weird. Unless you're professional. Then go for it.

As for your cheeks, go natural. You already have a reddish tint, but if that disappears somedays, sweep on a think blush (you could use the Body Shop stain I mentioned if your cheeks are barely ever pale).

If you're going dramatic, then put the focus on your eyes. Master the "cat eyeliner" thing and use a light marroon smokey eyeshadow (but don't let it show too much!) with sudden blended edges. Stick with a natural reddish lip gloss or do what I do: Dab some red lipstick on your finger, dab it on lightly, and spread it with a tissue. You could also go more coral-y if you're going dramatic.

    Hope this helps!

Awwww! your beautiful, your mom should never say that!!!

Your undertone is defiantly pink. Use colours that are called "cool colours) at drugstores and other places. If your mom is that eager to get you to wear makeup, tell her to take you to get high quality ones. Go to a place like MAC or Ulta and get them to pick out a colour foundation/ concealer for you. I would say you should try light brown shadows, and to mix it up a but, use a fun green or turquoise eyeliner. Im only 13, but trust me, keep it natural, but for fun add some colour. I live in Canada in a part that doesnt have middle school, so I am actually In high school now. Lots of people don't wear any at all but some do too. Tell your mom to take you out and figure something out at the store.

Hope this helps, and you are beautiful! Dont let others tell you different

I'm at secondary school (high school) and I have a really strict tutor who starts handing out make-up wipes at the sight of anyone wearing any make-up. But I can get away with light eyeshadow shades, I use a Barry M shimmering eye and lip crayon. Use a minimal amout of foundation and blusher. Go for clear mascara because you don't look stupid if it starts to run, plus if someone askes you if you're wearing mascara you can say no and they'll comment on how long your eyelashes are (yay!).

    Hope this helps! :)
