does positioning matter for cargo box on roof of 2010 subaru forester?
i would like to mount my rooftop cargo box off center to the passemger side to make it easier to reach...does having the cargo box off center adversely affect the handling??

It really shouldn't hurt anything unless it is so heavy that the car rides lower on one side. Depending upon the weight, you may change the center of gravity of the car which could cause a rollover in a quick maneuver or sharp turn.

If the box is not too heavy then it should be ok to be mounted on either side of the vehicle. Only weight and size restrict you.
