Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that there's more homework questions being asked on here lately?
I keep seeing this more and more often, and I can tell they're homework questions. They may not always be homework questions, but just the way they're worded (very generic sounding, like it was copied off a sheet) and the rest of the users Q&A is very similar. It just seems like YA has become a debate and homework answers site ... have all the original questions that can be asked truly been asked? Is there any way to deter homework questions, or should people just answer them anyways?

Finals are coming, so that might be causing the increase. I'd expect it to drop once school closes for the summer for most kids.
The serious, original questions are still out there, but the sheer volume now makes it a bit harder to find them, obviously. As to those homework questions, they are allowed by the rules of the site (well, certain kinds of them are), so folks can answer them. While it would be nice if they did so with some thought to helping the asker to LEARN rather than spoon-feeding them answers, that will not always happen -- and there is nothing that can be done about it. Times have changed, technology has changed, and society has to change with it.

Since there is a HOMEWORK category I would be surprised if there were no questions on homework. If it bothers you then do not answer them
