How much do you think is fair for an allowance?

Out of it I have to pay my phone bill, buy everything except food in the pantry, and buy everything for my pets. I've tried $100 but it didn't really work because it went into an account I couldn't get to and I didn't have any cash, I'm trying something else now but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    hmm 200 to 250 should cover living expenses plus a little extra
