Will my Dell laptop work if drops of water enter vents?

I have a Dell Vostro A860 laptop. I spilled water on it while it was closed (none entered the keyboard). Drops of water went underneath the laptop and entered through the vents. Not a lot went in, a very minor thing. It won't turn on. I'm trying to figure out how to open the back after removing the screws to dry it out. Do you think it will work again eventually? The power was off but still plugged in when this happened. Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions!

Update:

I waited one day for it to air dry. Then it worked! Yay! WHEW!

    get battery out of it.

    if possible remove its keyboard.

keep it backside up in sunlight for at least two days.

then wait till it gets into normal temperature.

    put battery in it.

    try to charge it first.

    then try to boot it.

    Hope This Helps.

    Regards.

Get the battery out of it NOW. A little water probably won't damage a laptop unless there's power there to short things out.

Turn it up on one end and let it dry for several days. It might work again, but I wouldn't put money on it.

    Good luck.

As long as only a few drops went in it should work again but let it air out for a few days and please be more careful with your computer.
