Shaq. I had to think about it for a minute, but what puts Shaq over the edge is the fact that Shaq in his prime > Duncan in his prime. Both are two of the best players to play the game.

It's a close call between these 2 players. Both these players' team battle it out for the NBA supremacy in the early 2000's and they both have an even 3 titles each (Shaq's Lakers only). Though Shaq garnered 3 NBA Finals MVP and 1 regular season MVPs, while Duncan have 3 Finals MVP and 2 regular season MVPs. I would pick Tim Duncan since some experts say that he was the best ever power forward to play in the NBA.

Shaq will get talked about more because he was just so dam dominant.
Tim Duncan is the most under-appreciated superstar in history since Dominique Wilkins. I think history will treat him the same way unfortunately.

Timmy is the most consistent player of all time he has shown no signs of slowing. He is a boring player and very underrated. Shaq is a great player and more like able but TIm Duncan has more skill.
