my 1 y/o baby has a sore on his bottom that gets red and looks like a deep tissue cold sore?

it never popped before like a cold sore but is in a cluster like one. but looked like it was deeper in tissue. it gets bumpier from time to time. we noticed it at about 3 m/o and it looked like a birth mark then. i squeezed it just a little todayin the morning, and it became like cold sore bubbles that are now popping by night time! it has always been deeper and never surfaced till today. has anyone seen this before we are very worried it is hsv. i have gotten cold sores all my life and dont want that for my son. we are going to take him to the doctor but have to wait till middle of the week.my wife and i are very worried. i have been worried since it first began to look like a cold sore. he also got a rash in a straight line from this thigh to calf. these are small single file blisters. is it related maybe? doctor didnt know what it was,and prescribed a steroid cream, but we never thought to ask about the sore on hid bottom before.any one know anything about this of seen something like it before?

Update:

its not a diaper rash at all, but me my wife and my baby have been getting sick ALOT since he was born, he turned 1 y/o yesterday. and has spent about 1/2 of his life with a cold. fevers have never gotten out of hand tho.

Update 2:

soph you don't have to be a jerk, this is why i debated even asking. as we all know there is ONE in every crowd. today it is you.

I have never heard of cold soars on the bottom, genitals and mouth, yes.. but not bottom and thy... how long has it been going on? has he had a fever? it could be a result from a high fever,. or a bad diaper rash... try leaving his diaper off for a little. let it dry out... good luck

there's only one hope for depression. That is an effective anti depressant medication. Depression comes from a checmical imbalance in the neurotransmitters and the brain and nothing in the world will alleviate unless you compensate for it. The right medication will do it. When you're depressed, you're unable to interact with a therapist by talking or be with or around anyone so talk therapy won't work. Being around people is a waste because the loss of interest makes it difficult to tolerate company and again, verbal interaction. You will have no desire for pets or taking care of animals as it's too labor intensive, too complex and your mind can't handle it. Excercise requires motivation which you have none. Until you can compensate for the chemical imbalance that's causing the depression and anxiety, none of these suggestions are useful.. Once you regain your sense of motivation and desire to do things, only then can any interaction or activity possibly help feel good.. There are ssri's, snri's mao inhibitors and trycyclic anti depressants. Some work better than others depending on the individdual. It is frustrating until you find one that works well with tolerable side effects. If none of these are ever an option, try ect (shock therapy)l

My son had it, it was nappy thrush, where normal nappy rash gets infected with the candida infection. He was prescribed canesten and it went within about 3 - 4 days. Take him to the docs and get them to prescribe some, of course that if it is this. Good luck

It's probably thrush, try buying some canesten cream and use that.
