Actually, the blockade which has been criticized by the UN is becoming more and more unsustainable for the Israelis so I disagree with your statements Humanitarians for sure. The Irish government just warned the Israelis not to kill or mistreat their citizens onboard the Rachel Corie, which is the latest of the blockage challengers. Anyone with a brain cell in their body knows these ships are not carrying missiles. Hopefully the Turkish navy will give armed escorts to their citizens heading for Gaza in international waters. The Israelis can then inspect the ships on arrival and then let the people of Gaza rebuild in peace or if there is contraband ( LOL) ban future shipments. And, please cut the Rambo stunts...it may play to the victimization complex of the Israeli public ( us vs them) but I don't buy it.

Baiting the Bear? You equate Israel with the bear? That would be the same Bear that has been slaughtering innocents for over sixty years and using their victim status to do so would it?

Purely Political? Delivering medical aid and building supplies is more damaging to Gaza than the phosphorous bomblets that Israel delivered not so long back is it?

Carrying Arm and Missiles? Disguised as wheelchairs?

We know the other ships were searched for weapons by a Nato member state a state that searches ships everyday that go through the Bosporus straits and why do they search them to prevent some gangsters in Russia from sending nuclear material abroad. We also know the Rosin Carrrie was searched by the Irish explosives unit of the Irish army not once but four times. Nothing found so really and its cargo manifest can be seen if Israel wanted to by writing to the Harbour commissioner from the port it was loaded and checked in.

Now the bodies and prisoners have been released we start to get the non-Israel version of events. 9 protesters were shot dead: one in the back, one in the back of his head, one in the face. 48 (48!) were shot and survived, and 6 have 'disappeared' since being taken by Israel.

Why didn't israel release footage of it's troops shooting civilians in the face? Where are the disappeared protesters?

Give me an ever-loving break already!

Humanitarians. Israel should remove entirely its blockade to Gaza and then the world should blockade Israel in punishment for its terrorist activities and not adhering to international law i.e. stolen foreign passports, flouting the UN to see how they would react to a blockade.Perhaps the Arab states around them might think to do that one day!

This is getting totally out of hand and as you say damaging any hope of peace being created in Gaza. Of course the Israelis see this as a threat to them and they'll do whatever they wish to stop this ship - why doesn't the Captain just take the offer and unload at the given port? Absolute total stupidity, he should have his license revoked! Freedom fighters or terrorists? Depends on which way you view events.

every ship in every port is searched , why should a boat that claims to be humanitarian be exempt from a search , what have they got to hide
