2007 Ford F-150, How do you fix doors that rattle?

Both driver and passenger doors appear not to be shut all the way, looks like about a 1/4" the top of the door where the window is, is not quite flush with the rest of the outter body of the small rear doors. I can push in on the door and it will become flush but once I relieve pressure off the door it sticks out a little bit. Almost as if it wasn't for the rubber trim it would close all the way. Also, could it be that maybe the part where the door latches could that be loosened and repositioned a little further back and tightened back down or is it possibly anything else?
