Why is my ex girlfriend contacting me after 4 months of hating me?

We broke up over something stupid in february that i had done which was a lie over nothing. We both admitted it as being stupid, but she found someone else and never admitted to it, even though I knew she was seeing someone else. I tried to get her back but it just pushed her away more and made her more angry. So i finally had to let it go. Now she has recently contacted me by text, asking me how Im doing, asked about my parents. Told me she was angry and hurt at that time and tried to become something she is not (she said tried being a b**ch, and thought it would help her life) but it just didnt work out like that for her she said. She also mentioned that because of her stubborness she is in a situation now she shouldnt be in and sounds like she wants out but is tied to it until she can get a new place to move out from the boyfriend she is with. She said it was a mistake to move in with him, but her ex husband is selling the house she was living in and had to move out when she wasnt ready. The guy she is with is a control freak and is always angry and her and her kids are always walking around on eggshells. She contacted me 2 days in a row, we just chatted, and he was out of town. Now he is back in town and I havent heard from her since for 2 days now. Im confused, i still have feelings for her and she made me the happiest i've ever been. But she said she cant tell me she misses me at this moment.

Furthermore, she also said that no one can help her... and I take this as if she has to do it on her own.
