Is it possible? each time I try to download IE8,I use Google Chrome at present,?
Google Chrome says it "cant find microsoft". Is it possible google is peventing me downloading IE8? How can I overcome this problem. I like google chrome, but would like the option of using IE8. Note.. I admitt being a computer dunce!!
I tried sing my old IE to download IE8 but I keep comming up against google saying it cant find microsoft. My old IE is so slow its unreal. Thanks for the answers to date.

Microsoft design their website so that it is really only fully accessible from IE. Firefox gets to most parts, and Opera seems to be able to do most things there these days, but I don't know about Chrome. Maybe try using your existing IE to download IE8.
And to answer your question about Google preventing you from downloading IE8, it's more likely that Microsoft is stopping you getting there with Chrome.

Maybe you're trying to download IE8 optimised for Google. Leave Google out of the picture and download direct from this link:

naw, man, i'm so bummed. google didn't take the time to release for any OS aside from windows, so as a mac user i'm stuck with firefox. not that that is a bad thing. got my add ons perfected and everything. i dunno, if google isn't smart enough to make stuff like web accelerator and chrome for any company aside from windows, i think firefox has a pretty good chance of staying above chrome. google just doesn't seem to care. i have seen screenshots too. it may be simple but i think the design is just ugly.
