OMG! Softball Injury... Help?
Okay, I just joined a co-ed softball team and what not. We had a scrimage game for practice last thursday. I hit a base-hit and white running to first, somehow managed to hurt my foot. Now, when I put any pressure on it, it hurts really bad. I've had it wrapped up in a bandage for two days. I don't understand why it still hurts so bad... what have I done to my foot? Shouldn't the bandage have helped?
It's only the top part of my foot. :S

You probably need to see an orthopedic specialist. The problem with your description, other than the fact I cannot see your foot, is that I do not have full history on your background to give you any idea of an assessment. It could range from a tendon strain to the start of a stress fracture.
Get it checked out by an orthopedic specialist, not your family doc (unless your insurance says your family doc need to refer you).

It is dependent upon the severity of the discomfort and if there is any benefit. I realize whilst my softball season began six weeks in the past, I hadn't particularly thrown in no less than nine months and it used to be a whole b*tch to throw for the primary week or so. There wasn't any "damage", I used to be simply making use of muscle groups I wasn't used to making use of. I positioned a bit ice on it and stretched it out particularly well and it used to be flawlessly nice upon getting again into it. It used to be even a bit sore once we had per week off of spring holiday- however after a few practices, it wasn't so tight. If it is hurting such a lot that you just can not raise it, or raise different gadgets, and so on, possibly you will have to seek advice your university teacher or a healthcare professional. They might provide you sporting activities or stretches that might support and the healthcare professional to might ship you to bodily cure. It all is dependent.

It will take days to heal. You probably sprained your ankle. If that is the case you shouldn't have much to worry about. But if that isn't the case you could have fractured a bone. Try to put as little pressure on the foot until a day after you feel totally perfect. Good luck! Hope I helped! Please mark as best answer if it is. Any other questions feel free to message me. Tyler
