What are the places and events that I can go to in Singapore in this month?

My friends and I are planning on a trip to Singapore for 1 week. We wanted to find something interesting to do and go to in Singapore, but still enjoying it while spending less. Anyway, if you know of a great place to go to, please recommend

Definitely plan a visit to Clarke Quay. Great nightlife but you don't need to spend much, you can just go there to absorb the atmosphere. Take a boat ride down the Singapore River.

This is a Garden City, so visit the Botanic Gardens, if you can. There's also the Birdpark, Zoo (they have a Night Safari). You can visit Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (you don't have to pay a cent), and climb Bukit Timah Hill, the highest hill in Singapore. You get to see a lot of flora, fauna and wildlife.

I believe there's an art festival going at the Esplanade. Do visit if you have the chance.

It's a great time to visit Singapore because this time of the year is when they have the Great Singapore Sale. So I don't think it'd be a bad idea to do a bit of shopping!

All the places mentioned are great, but its the rainy season now. So you might want to take note when planning your outings.
