Do I include my income from before we moved in together?

My girlfriend and I have recently moved in together. Tax credits say we are now not entitled to anything, but they are taking into account my earnings from before we moved in together. Is this the correct way to assess a claim? I have been unemployed since we moved in together.

Update:

sorry I forgot to add my girlfriend is currently employed 40 hours per week.

You are only entitled to Working Tax Credit if you or your partner are working 30 hours per week.

You say you are unemployed now. If your partner is not working 30 hours per week there is no entitlement.

If your partner is working 30 hours or over you should contact tax credits and ask them to assess the claim on this years earnings.

When you make a claim the assessment is always calculated on last years earnings. If this year is lower you need to let them know and they will recalculate.
