Wi Fi connection stopped working?
I run my laptop from a Wifi connection, this morning it connected with no problem, after approx. 15 minutes it stopped for no apparent reason. As you can see it is not a connection issue as my PC is fine. All the lights on the router are as they should be. Anyone have any ideas please?
Hurmer no I haven't, I'm on my PC which is fine, but the laptop isn't receiving any signal. I have rebooted PC, laptop and router and nothing. It's very strange, haven't had any problems like this before. I haven't changed anything, the settings on the router look fine on the PC, not sure on the laptop can't remember how to get in, I appreciate your speedy reply
David thanks for your suggestions, I don't particularly want to change any settings because I'm not technically minded enough to change them back if they don't work!! The laptop has worked fine for 2 years, I normally use it in the same place, this has never happened before, there's no TV, mobile phone etc near the laptop and it was fine at 9am, just switched off after 15 mins, it says there are no network connections available. Normally I can even see my neighbours unsecured connection, but not today!! The laptop is working fine apart from that, I'm totally puzzled and very ignorant of technical things on computers. I have the back up of the router settings which I've used but nothing???
DR I have never had this problem at any time of the day or night, it's now 4 hours later and it's still the same

Wireless disturbance....occurs sometimes during the day randomly.
Solution: Change wireless channel
In your router configuration, you will find a setting that shows "Channel" from 1-13
Default is 11 on linksys
Try moving it down to 9 or 6. And so on, experiment and see which channel works best with your laptop that can avoid any external radio interferences....

Hi
all the lights can be on but that does not mean its working, especially at around 09:00hrs am.
when the world and his wife log on at work.
the bandwidth of the internet is a very variable thing as more and more people use it.

Sometimes the connection is reset. This happens to me too, it doesn't happen often. It's just a random thing I guess. :)
