Have you ever seen a Nascar race at Michigan International Speedway live?

This is one of the few tracks that I have not been to. Its Fontana's (aka Bortana's sistertrack) atleast sometimes there is alittle more racing at MIS. Right now MIS is not one of my favorite tracks, I need to go their someday and check it out, Our friend Steffy will be there this Sunday for sure, she loves it.

I have been to every NASCAR race weekend at MIS since 1996. While there have been some real yawners there (Dale Jarrett blowing away the field in a caution free race in June '99 comes to mind), there have also been some good finishes there as well. I now live less than 20 minutes away, so I guess its one of my favorite tracks. As far as traffic goes, its been alot better the last 2-3 years. Since I come from the east via M50 I have to park in lot 14, which is on the other side of US-12 from the track. That works out great, as we leave right after watching the victory lane celebration and as soon as we get to the car, we can get out on the road and are home in only about 35 minutes of driving.

Used to go alot havnt been there in about 5 yrs bathrooms not very clean if you been to Chicagoland youve been there about the same also getting out of that place is horrible get to the red barn as fast as you can other wise you will be sitting in the parking lot longer then the race last if you go you will see what i mean not a bad track though coolers can only be 14 by 6 no clear bags with ice

Ohhhhhhhh it's been about ten years but i've been to about 20 NASCAR and 6 or 7 Indy Car races there. Its the closest track to Toronto so for us Canadians it's the most popular track to visit next to Daytona

I don't really know how to rate it , as i've seen some great finishes there but some real yawner's there as well.

The parking lot brings back bad memories. One time I spent 14 hours getting home, It usually only take 4 depending on the border crossing. I hear it's alot better now though

Parking at MIS all depends on where you park. Back when the race went Green at noon, we would cook food after the race and leave around 6 or 7 to go back to the hotel.

Now since the morons go green after 1, we leave right away.

We found an amazing lot on MIS property. We stay until the end see the burnout then head to the car. 4 minutes after we get to the van we are out of the lot driving on the road heading to the highway.

LUV IT!!! Last year was my first year in the infield, I will be their this weekend HOPEFULLY!

P.S. I don't think I've ever partied for 3 days in a row like I did when I went there!

MIS is my # 1 track because it's only a 35 minute drive away!

Nope. Can't think of any outstanding moments at this track.

Kyle has never won here...Dale Jr. got his last win here in 2008. And at the risk of bringing out you know who...JJ Yeley won the pole here in 07.

Other than that this race has been pretty much dominated by Roush.

I've been to the June and August races there. The higher you sit the better you can see.

The only other NASCAR track I've been to is Indy but it wasn't for NASCAR.

it's 11 just outside of the top ten tracks. i think i'd got to the Michigan race if i had the chance.
