Do Paramedics Have There Own Meds?
I was wondering if in New York State if Paramedics or Critical Care have there own med bags or are they only issued to there agencies?
I am well aware of what the levels are and all I am a Basic I am just wondering are the medics given these meds to have with them or are they issued to them only while they are working?

I'm an intermediate. Yes, I do have my own jump kit but the ONLY medications that are in it are activated charcoal, glucose gel, aspirin and benadryl.
I do not carry any narcotics or any other type of drug. I do carry normal saline though...sterile water. This has a number of uses.
Drug boxes are kept on the rigs and do not go home with anyone. They are sealed and once that seal is broken, the box must be returned for checking, restocking and sealing.
