A good file converter would be DVDFab "File to Mobile" Converter if you want to put it on an iPod or something.

If you were using Windows Movie Maker then I'd assume you're editing video. Power Director is used in making video and can also convert these files. I used it to convert my large 3gb+ video for a final exam to a wmv so I could upload it to facebook. It has tons of options to convert to. If you install it, drag the VOB file into your project and click on the tab produce. The trial version may be able to do it, if not it's worth the money.

It seems your video file too large to convert. If there is some error while converting, you will have to start from beginning.

Not sure but I just check and see that Movavi video converter support .vob file.
