I recorded a video on my Nano iPod - Want to put it on my computer?

I've read that I can put a recorded video from the iPod onto my computer. I have a Mac. I tried hooking it up to the computer, iTunes opened up, but it didn't see the video, I guess.

BTW, my mom and I recently started sharing the computer with 2 different iPods. Lately it's been checking her iPod and things, but it won't check mine they way it does hers. I'm confused.

Can someone please explain to me how I can put the video onto my computer/iTunes? Thanks so much :)

Update:

Well, I'll rephrase a bit - the computer still syncs my iPod but.. K, my mom makes an On-the-Go playlist, hooks it to the computer, and the playlist goes straight to iTunes. If I do that, nothing happens. But it still syncs my iPod and does all the important stuff.

Sorry, I can't answer your first question, but I can answer your second one.

One computer is bound to ONE ipod only, meaning you can't use two ipods on 1 computer
